Re: yield wine bar @ 9

did a run-by of Yield Wine Bar and discovered that they'll be closed on Wednesday. Here's where she said we'll meet instead (and, it's still close to her new neighborhood).

Lingba Lounge
1469 18th Street
San Francisco, CA 94107
(415) 355-0001

The Scene
This South Asian-themed lounge avoids the garishness of the average, tacky tiki bar--there are no plastic coconuts or wicker chairs. Instead, patrons can sip lychee-flavored martinis under a gorgeous canopy of live hanging plants and tall palm trees. Video projections and candles add the right atmospheric touches.

The Draw
Lingba Lounge maintains a homey vibe suited for a take-it-easy kind of evening. Even on weekends, the bar is full but not overwhelmingly so. This could be partly due to its location in a residential neighborhood, which poses some noise restrictions. However, most of the credit goes to Lingba's crowd of well-heeled regulars, who are a far cry from the hula-skirted masses invading rowdier joints like Trad'r Sam's.

Bliss @ 9pm

Hello hello!

This weeks Wednesday fun will kick it to Noe Valley's
Bliss Bar
4026 24th St (Cross Street: Noe Street)
San Francisco, CA 94114View Map
(415) 826-6200

here's a cute review from

Happening and, yes, blissful spot in the hitherto social desert of Noe Valley. Regulars are an ultra-stylish mix of locals and interlopers, yet surprisingly unpretentious, perhaps because the eye candy waiters and waitresses insist on bringing their cocktails to the tables rather than make them stand in the crush at the bar. And what fine cocktails! Cosmopolitans are a hit, usually infused with flavoured vodkas, although you might want to look out for their Cucumber Martini made with Hendrick's Scottish Gin, a whisper of dry vermouth, and served chilled with a cucumber garnish. Out of this world!

Here's a note from the
Dress code strictly enforced: Casual Dress
NO sport jerseys, baggy pants, baseball caps

see you at 9pm!
