The Hotel Utah has been around for thousands of years. Or a hundred, actually. Yeah, that's better. The bar and woodwork in the place is incredible. It's changed hands a bunch, and the gentrification of SOMA has threatened its future more than once in recent years. However, the Utah continues on.

It's a great, intimate music venue. When a high-energy band packs it out, there are few places in the city more fun to rock out. It hosts an epic open mic night every Monday. The bartenders are very friendly. Drinks are pretty cheap. And the burgers are damn good, as well.
