Hobson's Choice
(to the tune of my boyfriend's back)
Sachin is here and we're gonna have a good time
hey-ya hey-ya Sachin is here!
So, I'm moving sfwed up a week. We can do that because we're being laid back in 2007, right? ;)

The Scene
The decor is early Victorian, but the atmosphere is young and somewhat upwardly mobile. Stuffed with antique couches and internists from UCSF, Hobson's gets raucous on the weekends (it's a wonder the faux-Tiffany lamps survive). Regulars grab a coveted perch by the full-length windows to peep the Haight Street goings-on, or linger at the expansive bar to savor some heady conversation. The upstairs balcony helps folks keep tabs on the eligible, well-built patrons.
The Draw
Rum by the barrel-full is the house specialty--including its own brand--and the mixologists behind the bar are experts on the merits of punch, warm or cold. They also know their way around a mai tai and zombie. There's also plenty of beer on tap and shelf at hand. Bartenders pick the tunes, which range from college rock to hip-hop to cheeky retro flashbacks.
